Ben Worel , P.E. will give us a tour of the Mn/ROAD facility, one of the world’s largest and most comprehensive outdoor highway laboratories. Following Mr. Worel’s presentation, Larry Zanko, Research Fellow, Natural Resources Research Institute, will discuss the various opportunities the State of Minnesota has been researching for using taconite byproducts as aggregate. We will also have an opportunity to look at the recently completed Mn/ROAD test cell using “Mesabi Select” aggregate from United Taconite.

Following our visit to MnROAD, we will travel a few miles east to BlackWoods Banquet and Conference Center in Otsego, MN where we have reserved a conference room. We will be ordering off the menu at BlackWoods.
